Please review the following message from Harris County’s Office of the County Engineer regarding the temporary removal of streetlights due to the upcoming drainage improvement project.
Harris County is moving forward with a drainage improvement project in your community. The purpose of this project is to enhance the overall drainage system and reduce the excessive flooding that has impacted residents in the past.
As part of the construction process, it will be necessary to temporarily remove the existing streetlights located within the project limits. Once construction has been completed, Harris County will notify the CenterPoint Streetlight Department so it may schedule a crew to reinstall the streetlights.
Harris County recognizes the critical role streetlights play in maintaining community safety and security. Since your HOA pays for these streetlights, Harris County wants to ensure you are fully informed and provide advance notice of this temporary measure.
Harris County appreciates your cooperation and partnership as Harris County works to deliver these important community improvements. If you have any questions or require further details, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Sincerely, Mr. Stacy D. Hunter Chief Utility Coordinator
